Alameda Green Business![]() To be a green business, a business must bring it's operations into compliance with all environmental regulations. Then go beyond compliance to meet the general practices and targeted resource conservation and pollution prevention measures. I have been a Certified Alameda County Green Business since 2008.
HERS Rater![]() The California Building Performance Contractors Association (CBPCA) was a non-profit organization dedicated to reducing the energy demands in California and developing industry leaders in the burgeoning field of building energy efficiency. Although I did not intend to do work as a HERS Rater, I took the training to learn about: duct leakage testing equipment, blower doors, and air flow and pressure measurement devices; interpretation of prioritized recommendations for efficiency improvements and customized adjustment procedures for specific occupants; behavioral, psychological, cultural, and socioeconomic influences on energy consumption of home occupants in the United States and California. Training completed 2010.

They strive to design their programs to have wide-reaching policy impacts that can positively impact many Californians. I have achieved the following certifications from Build It Green:
Green Point Rater GPR's learn how to evaluate existing homes base on five criteria: Energy Efficiency, Water Conservation, Indoor Air Quality, Resource Conservation & Community. Training completed 2011. Certified Green Real Estate Professional Teaches statewide energy efficiency rebate programs like Energy Upgrade California, mortgage options, disclosure regulations and lending programs (203K, Energy Efficiency Mortgages). Training completed 2011. Certified Green Building Professional Teaches the principles of green building and the systems approach to the design, construction and operation of residential buildings.
